Suspect In 2017 Las Vegas Sexual Assault Arrested In California
A suspect that was identified by detectives in a summer 2017 sexual assault in Las Vegas has been arrested in California, police said.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Las Vegas last summer has been arrested in California. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, 23-year old Oscar Gonzalez was arrested by police in Huntington Beach, CA. Orange County Jail records show he was arrested on April 5 and is currently in custody.
According to police, on July 12, 2017, a woman was sexually assaulted after a man escorted her to her hotel on E. Harmon Ave. Police say the suspect forced the woman into her room, covered her mouth with his hand, sexually assaulted her, and then fled the room. The investigation identified Gonzalez as the suspect, police said, but did not specify how. Court records show his bail has been set at $1,000,000.
