UNLV's Boyd School Of Law Climbing National Ranks

U.S. New & World Report's 2019 rankings list UNLV's legal writing program as the best in the country.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A new report from U.S. News & World Report ranks UNLV's Boyd School of Law as the 59th best in the country, out of 194 schools. The ranking comes as part of the publications 2019 list of the best graduate schools in America. According to the list, the Boyd School of Law is steadily climbing the ranks.

The 59th overall ranking is a three spot jump from last year's 62nd ranking. In terms of legal writing, the Boyd School of Law was ranked the best in the country for the Lawyering Process Program.The school was ranked 2nd in that category in the previous two years. The school was ranked 10th best in the country for dispute resolution, and the school's part-time law program was ranked 17th best, up from 19th last year.

"We are honored to earn this recognition, and we are proud of the top ranking of the Lawyering Process Program. We have built a first-rate public law school, and we couldn't be more prouder of the acheivements of our faculty, our students, and our alumni," said Daniel Hamilton, Dean of the Boyd School of Law.

Other graduate programs at UNLV were also ranked in the list. Here's how the following programs were ranked nationally:

  • Part-time MBA program: 97
  • Environmental Engineering Graduate Program: 76
  • Civil Engineering Graduate Program: 89
  • Social work: 75
  • Earth Science: 78
  • Public affairs: 87
