Back To Back Knights: Vegas Gets Four Points In Two Days
The Golden Knights extended their win streak to six games with a 3-2 overtime win over the Kings in Los Angeles Thursday night.

LOS ANGELES, CA - The collection of dramatic victories the Vegas Golden Knights have notched in front of the home town crowd at T-Mobile Arena are quickly becoming part of Sin City lore, but the NHL's newest team isn't bashful about taking the show on the road to show the rest of the country who the best team in the Western Conference is.
The Golden Knights have now won six consecutive games, staking their claim to southern California by beating the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night and then the Los Angeles Kings, 4-3 in overtime, a day later on Thursday night. Vegas improves to a Western Conference leading 25-9-2 (52 points).
The entire roster is sharing in the heroics. On Thursday night David Perron scored on an assist from Reilly Smith in the overtime period to get the expansion Golden Knights to 52 points on the season. They're now 10-0-1 in their last 11 games, notching a point in each one.

"Nice play by Smitty to drop it behind, give me some room to kind of attack and use the (defense) as a screen and it went in," Perron said.

He said there was no doubt how it would end in overtime.

"We outshot them, I thought Flower (goalie Marc-Andre Fleury) was unreal. Not only in net but to be an outlet back there, to get guys the puck and it makes it so much easier on our (defensemen)," Perron said. "I just felt like the feeling was we couldn't lose that game after the way we were playing the whole 60 minutes."
After a slow start against Anaheim on Wednesday night, the Golden Knights have responded during the two-game road trip.
"We find a way to answer, get two points again, we just keep rolling...the way we battled back after the start we had yesterday, it was a positive sign and we really followed it up tonight," Perron told reporters after the game,
Jonathan Marchessault and Brendan Leipsic each had goals in the win.
"All those points add up and they're meaningful when the end of the season comes around," said Fleury, who stopped 26 shots Thursday night in Los Angeles. "You can't just hope for a push at the end of the season, you have to build all year long especially against a division rival."
Next up, the Golden Knights come home for a New Year's Eve game against Toronto at T-Mobile Arena. The puck drops at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 31.
