Wind Advisory Issued For The Las Vegas Valley

A wind advisory has been issued Wednesday and Thursday for the Las Vegas Valley.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A wind advisory for the Las Vegas Valley has been issued by the National Weather Service. According to NWS, a midweek windstorm is in store for the valley that could bring gusts of up to 60 miles per hour.

The advisory has been issued starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. Winds could reach 60 miles per hour and gusts could reach 70 miles per hour. According to NWS, power outages are possible. A precursor to the storm will come Tuesday, with strong winds between 15 and 30 miles per hour.

To prepare for the storm, secure loose items around your yard, or bring them inside. Be cautious of dust storms and decreased visibility.
