The free event will be Sept. 7 from 1-5 p.m. and will feature the Biggest Little Parade and Flyover, which starts at 2 p.m.
From the City of Reno: The City of Reno will host the inaugural Reno Air Races Takeoff Celebration on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Reno-Stead Airport. The free event will feature the Biggest Little Parade and Flyover, which starts at 2 p.m., as well as the Race Plane Show ’n’ Shine.
Reno City Councilmember Bonnie Weber initiated the community event as an opportunity to create more excitement around Reno’s popular annual event, the STIHL National Championship Air Races and Air Show on September 11-15, 2019.
“This is a great opportunity for our North Valleys neighbors and community at large to come together to celebrate the spirit and history of the Reno Air Races,” Weber said. “We invite everyone to come out to Stead for a lot of exciting family-oriented activities.”
