Jersey Mike's Helping Big Brothers Big Sisters Of Northern Nevada
Jersey Mike's will donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada during the month of March.

RENO, NV - If you're feeling philanthropic on your next lunch break, visit Jersey Mike's and help out the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada.
For its eighth annual Month of Giving campaign, Jersey Mike's Subs will accept customer donations as well as make donations of its own to local charities in cities across the country. Last year Jersey Mike's raised $5.5 million for 170 different charities nationally.
"I would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your family to visit Jersey Mike's Subs throughout the month of March, and especially on Day of Giving when 100 percent of sales — every penny — will help support neighborhood needs," Jersey Mike's founder and CEO Peter Cancro said in a statement.

Founding Jersey Mike's when he was just 17, Cancro has for years reportedly maintained a charitable spirit heavily influenced by other local businesses he saw help out local communities during his youth.
"When I was a teen, I saw local business people at the Jersey Shore doing so much for their community — like Bob Hoffman of Hoffman's Ice Cream and Jack Baker with his restaurants," Cancro explained in an email to Patch. "It made a big impression on me, and, because of them, making a difference has been part of the Jersey Mike's mission from day one.

Cancro also annually designates one day during the Month of Giving as the company's specific Day of Giving. This year, on March 28, Jersey Mike's will donate 100 percent of its revenue from the day to the chosen local charity.
In 2017, Jersey Mike's donated $4.6 million from its Day of Giving alone — more than 80 percent of all the donations from the entire month-long campaign.
"We give back because it's the right thing to do," Cancro said. "The opportunities to give are all around us, and we encourage everyone — franchise owners, team members and the community — to seek their opportunity and make a difference in someone's life."
Jersey Mike's Subs has reportedly donated more than $28 million since beginning its Month of Giving campaign in 2010. Additionally, the company has distributed more than 2 million sandwiches to various philanthropic causes.
