Man Attempted To Kidnap 2-Year Old In Reno Saturday: Police

RENO, NV - A man tried to lure a 2-year old child away from her family during a soccer game Saturday afternoon, Reno Police said. The attempted kidnapping was reported around noon on April 14 near Moana Park, and police are still searching to locate the man.

As a result of the attempted kidnapping, RPD is asking parents to remind their children about strangers and to watch their children at all times in public.

Police said the man took the child's hand and tried to lead her away from the park. The child was uninjured and her father stopped the man, who then ran away. Police are unsure if he left in a vehicle or on foot.

The father described the suspect as being between 5'10" tall, with brown and gray hair, and last seen wearing a dark gray shirt.
