RENO, NV -- Yerington High School may seem like your average school, but inside the campus two black girls are bullied to tears. The Reno Gazette Journal investigated the claims by two students who said their peers constantly use racial slurs.
The school, which is outside of the city of Reno, has a majority white student population with only two students of color, sisters Taylissa Marriott and Jayla Tolliver, the Journal reported.
"Students have blocked doorways and barred doors shut while spouting hateful speech, the parents say," the Journal reported.

The Journal reported that a lawman's son has even posted a photo "holding a gun and wearing a belt with knives were posted on social media. Superimposed over the photos were the words 'The red neck god of all gods ... we bout to go (racial slur) huntin,' and 'Watch out (racial slur).'"
The principal of the school told the newspaper it is addressing the bullying, while the town's mayor and police chief defended the actions.
