C.3 - Marvel Way Empowerment Center Apartments Affordability
Council approved a fee reduction for the project located north of Marvel Way near Airway Drive. The project will include 42 units of affordable multi-family housing. Applicants must have an Average Median Income at or below 50 percent.
D.2 - Reno Neon Line District
Council directed to staff to continue negotiating a Development Agreement regarding the Neon Line District mostly along West Fourth Street. Staff emphasized that any potential subsidies could expire if the development does not happen. Any proposed agreement would come before council again for examination before any approval.
D.4 - Moana Pool and Public Safety Center Capital Projects Funding Plan
Staff provided a framework to solve funding challenges for the two critical projects, including approval for the construction of the Moana Pool. While the projects will receive grants, the city must have significant contributions in order to qualify. The sources proposed for the current fiscal year are available now and do not impact any other areas of the budget such as contingency, long term liabilities, capital already in progress, or capital already dedicated for a specific program. Going forward in the next two years, the funding sources include the sale of properties, pending settlements, annual savings, and other dedicated revenue sources.
G.1.2. - Reno Arts and Culture Commission
Council reappointed Dana Hatjakes.
G.1.3 - Reno Housing Authority
Council appointed Councilmember Oscar Delgado.
