Reno Woman Dies In Thursday Car Crash

A two car collision in Reno killed a 73-year old Reno woman on Thursday, police said.

RENO, NV - A 73-year old Reno woman died Thursday in a two car collision near Steamboat Pkwy. and Brittany Meadows Dr. The collision occured just before 8 a.m.

The woman, identified at Bonnie Saviers, died at the scene. According to a Reno Police Department police, she was driving a Mini Cooper on Brittany Meadows Dr. and attempted to turn left onto Steamboat Pkwy. when she was struck by a pickup truck already on Steamboat Pkwy.

The driver of the pickup truck is a minor and is not being named. It's unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, RPD said. Police said they'd like to speak to several witnesses who left the scene. Anyone who witnesses the crash is encouraged to call RPD at 775-344-2141.
