Teen Ruins Airbnb Home With Booze-Filled Party, Guns And Blood

The owner of the property thought a nice, married couple would be staying at their property.

RENO, NV -- A Reno Airbnb rental was ruined recently after a teenager held a massive party filled with underage drinkers, guns and some blood. The Reno Gazette Journal said the property owners thought the teenager was renting the property for her parents.

The property is the spot of the former small business, Sierra Water Gardens, which was recently closed and revamped into an Airbnb, according to the Journal.

Last week, the owner of the property, Samantha Stremmel, received a call early Saturday morning from police. Officers informed the owner that "there were gunshots and about 60 people in the house."

The owner, upon arriving to the property, found a mess with some blood on the floor, the Journal reported.

Stremmel apologized to her neighbors for the massive rager in a Facebook post.

"We thought Airbnb would be a viable option for the water gardens and after last night we have decided it is not," Stremmel said. "We agreed to rent to a gal who was verified on Airbnb and told us her parents were coming into town and would like a nice place to stay. The rules of our Airbnb explicitly state that there are to be no more than 4 people and no parties or events."

Stremmel said roughly 15 to 18 police cars swarmed the area after receiving calls of the party.

"We would like to thank all of the officers who responded and we apologize to our neighbors. This will not happen again," Stremmel said. "The water gardens will no longer be available for Airbnb or events."

Airbnb told the Journal it banned the guest from renting future properties.
