Applications are now being accepted for numerous Seasonal Positions. 

Washoe County Community Services Department is actively hiring for a number of seasonal positions including recreation leaders, lifeguards and park aides. For further job descriptions and applications please visit the Washoe County job page. 

The following positions are now hiring:  

Seasonal Park Aide Ranger  

• Under general supervision, performs basic manual labor and maintenance and/or public service or guide assignments in the County Park System; and performs related work as required. 
  Location: Various Washoe County Parks. 
  Weekend and evening shifts may be required. 

Seasonal Park Aide Maintenance 

• Under general supervision, performs basic manual labor and maintenance and/or public service or guide assignments in the County Park System; and performs related work as required. 

Seasonal Sr. Recreation Leader 

• Under general supervision, plans, develops and coordinates a major area of public recreation activities on a seasonal basis; and performs related work as required. 

Seasonal Recreation Leader 

• Under general supervision, directs or teaches a recreation program or activity in a specialized field; and performs related work as required. 

Seasonal Concession Attendant 

• Under general supervision, assists in the operation of facilities that require the collection of monies for admissions, programs and concessions within the County Park System; and performs related work as required. 

Seasonal Lifeguard 

• Under general supervision, enforces water safety regulations and guards swimmers at a Washoe County swimming facility, promoting patron health, enjoyment and safety; and performs related work as required. 
  Location: Bowers Mansion Pool. 
  Weekend and evening shifts may be required. 

Seasonal Senior Lifeguard 

• Under general supervision, manages and supervises the business, pool safety, sanitation, staff scheduling and program activity functions of an assigned Washoe County swimming facility; and performs related work as required. 
  Location: Bowers Mansion Pool. 
  Weekend and evening shifts may be required. 

Seasonal Pool Manager 

• Under general direction, manages, supervises and directs the functions and activities of Washoe County public swimming facilities and personnel; and performs related work as required. 
  Location: Bowers Mansion Pool. 
  Weekend and evening shifts may be required.
