Washoe County's Population Growth Last Year Matched 2016
Data released by the United States Census Bureau shows Washoe County experienced the same population growth in 2017 that it did in 2016.

RENO, NV - Last year, Washoe County maintained a dramatic population increase that the county saw in 2016. In 2017, the county increased its population by 8,158 - almost the exact same amount it did the year before - according to recent data released by the United States Census Bureau.
The population increase is attributed to a natural increase of 1,716 people (more births than deaths) and 6,408 people who came to Washoe County from abroad (577 people) or from within America (5,831 people), census data shows.
The past two years have seen Washoe County increase its population by over 8,000 residents after a sharp increase from 2015 to 2016. The county added 6,749 new residents in 2015, but that number climbed to 8,156 people in 2016, and was matched in 2017 with 8,158.

Since 2010, Washoe County's population has increased by 25,476 people.
