NASHVILLE, TN - At one point in the second half on the University of Nevada's opening round NCAA tournament matchup game against Texas, ESPN's win probability tracker gave the Longhorns a 93 percent chance of victory. The Wolf Pack just missed a shot and trailed Texas 45-32 with 16:20 left in the game.
After that, the win probability began trending in the other direction. The Wolf Pack mounted a comeback and cut the deficit to six points. The two teams traded baskets for a stretch before Nevada reduced the Texas lead to just one point with three second lefts in regulation. The Wolf Pack sent Jordan Caroline to the free throw line with a chance to take the lead for the first time since they held a 5-2 just two minutes into the game.
Caroline missed the first, but made the second free throw to force overtime at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
