Instagram Photo Might Get Plymouth State Student A Modeling Job

The photos were liked more than 11,000 times by Sunday.

PLYMOUTH, NH — Anok Yai, a biochemistry student at Plymouth State University who dreamt of becoming a model, said last week that she's heard from three modeling agencies after photographs of her were posted on a photographer's social media account and were liked thousands of times.

A photographer took photographs of Yai, who grew up in Manchester and posted them for his Instagram account about a week ago while she was at a homecoming event at Howard University in Washington, D.C., The Boston Globe reported. He said he was photographing people with nice outfits.

The photos were liked more than 11,000 times by Sunday.

Yai said she's always been interested in fashion and art, but modeling was a dream she didn't think would ever happen.
