Search For Missing Manchester Woman Underway After 37 Years

Denise Daneault​ disappeared in June 1980, and authorities have reportedly picked up the search for her this weekend.

MANCHESTER, NH — The cold case of a Manchester woman missing for more than 30 years may have had a break, according to media reports. Denise Daneault disappeared in June 1980. Federal and local authorities were reportedly searching woods Saturday in Manchester.

Denise Daneault, who was 25 at the time of her disappearance, was last seen outside a club on Merrimack and Union streets, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader, which reported cadaver dogs, New Hampshire State Police, Manchester police and others were assisting in the weekend search on Kimball Street.

The search through woods along the 500 block of Kimball Street was expected to last one day, according to WMUR, which reported Daneault had two young children and lived on Hayward Street when she went missing. Her home was a little more than 3 miles from the wooded area where police were searching.
