2 to 4 Inches of Snow Likely in Amherst Tonight into Saturday

Snowfall may be heavier between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.

The National Weather Service is advising we may see our first accumulating snowfall of the season Friday, in Cheshire and Hillsborough counties.

According to a special weather statement, rain is expected to mix with snow before changing over completely to snow.

Snow may be heavy at times between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. and then taper off as dawn approaches, depending on where you are.

Accumulations of 2-4 inches are likely, with a few areas possibly reaching 5-6 inches, depending upon the duration of the heavier snowfall.
