Amherst Candidates Night Announced

Amherst candidates running for town offices and School Board in the March 11 election will be able to connect with voters during the second annual Amherst Candidates Night.

According to Liz Overholt, a member of the Southern New Hampshire Branch of the American Association of University Women, the event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the Amherst Town Hall in the Barbara Landry Room starting at 7 p.m.

In her e-mail, Holt wrote the event will be broadcast live on ACTV20 and rerun at varies times until Election Day on March 11. She noted that Amherst residents can also view it on their computer on demand at http://amherstnh.pegcentral.com - usually by the day after the event.

Overholt said all candidates who have filed seeking to be elected to an Amherst town or school position will be invited, including those who are running unopposed.  Positions open are:
