Amherst Fire Chief a Finalist for Townsend, MA Job
Mark Boynton is one of three remaining candidates for the position.
Amherst Fire Chief Mark Boynton is a finalist for the fire chief's job in Townsend, MA, according to the Lowell Sun.
The other finalists are Ayer Fire Capt. Timothy Johnson and Dracut Fire Capt. Gregory Gagnon. All three are scheduled to be interviewed by the Townsend Board of Selectmen next month. The town's current fire chief is retiring at the end of the month.
Boynton has been the fire chief in Amherst since 2010.
