Amherst Police Make 3 DWI Arrests Over Course Of 3 Days: Log

AMHERST, NH — Amherst Police made three arrests on driving while intoxicated charges following two car crashes and a traffic stop last week. A Merrimack man, Amherst man and Amherst woman are facing charges.

Amherst Police responded to a four-car accident on Route 101A about 2 p.m. on Oct. 11 with injuries reported. Willard Lucey, 64, of Merrimack was the operator of one of the vehicles and charged with DWI. He was released on personal recognizance and scheduled for arraignment Oct. 22 at Milford District Court.

Amherst Police responded to a single-car accident on New Boston Road at about 11 p.m. on Oct. 11 with no injuries reported. Daniel Kierstead, 33, of Amherst was the operator of the vehicle and charged with DWI. He was released on personal recognizance bail and scheduled for arraignment at Milford District Court.

Amherst Police charged Corinne Sweetser, 45, of Amherst with DWI during a stop at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 13. She was released on personal recognizance and scheduled for arraignment at Milford District Court on Oct. 22.

Amherst Police also responded to a two-car accident at about 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 with no injuries reported.
