Amherst’s 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

AMHERST, NH — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in Amherst so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4th in Amherst:

Wednesday, July 3

6 p.m. Souhegan High School – tethered hot air balloon rides (weather permitting), food, face painting with Krickey the Clown and Friend, and a roaming railroad.

6:45 p.m. Bryson Lang, the juggler, will perform at the main entrance lawn.

7:30 p.m. Emerald the Singer at the main entrance lawn.

8:15 p.m. The Amherst Town Band will perform.

Dusk: Fireworks (Mark True and volunteers).

Thursday, July 4

(Rain date: Saturday, July 6).

9 a.m. Amherst Village: Historical museums will be open.

10 a.m. Children’s Bicycle Parade sponsored by the Amherst Lions Club.

10 a.m. Parade with bands, floats, antique autos, and more.

9 a.m. Village Green activities include the Church Side of the Village Green art show, booths, clowns, pocket ladies, children’s activities, balloon animals, food, and more. Animals will also be on the Green and the Declaration of Independence will be read by Uncle Sam.

11 a.m. Antique auto show at the Church Side of the Green.

The Citizen of the Year, awards, and other dignitaries will be announced following the parade.

The weather for Independence Day in New Hampshire is looking pretty good, too. Sunny and hot with highs in the low 90s, upper 80s on the Seacoast, with a light breeze at around 5 mph. It will be clear during the evening with highs in the mid-60s.
