Amherst Woman Charged In Merrimack Car Crash

MERRIMACK, NH – An Amherst woman was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol after a car crash in Merrimack on Friday night. Merrimack Police said Mary Goetz, 57, was observed with possible signs of impairment after her disabled car was found on Route 101A.

Merrimack Police said they located the car with damage to one of the wheels that made it inoperable at about 8 p.m. Police said they interviewed Goetz, whom they said was the operator and appeared to be impaired, and she was taken into custody.

Goetz was released on personal recognizance and scheduled for a Nov. 14 appearance at the 9th Circuit Merrimack District Court.
