Father’s Day Weekend Forecast: Nearly Perfect

AMHERST, NH – It’s Father’s Day weekend and if you’re looking to do something outdoors with dad, you’ve lucked out: It’s going to be a near perfect weekend throughout New Hampshire, according to weather forecasters.

Sunday appears to be the slightly better day – but with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s, either day is expected to be a winner. AccuWeather.com is also picking Sunday as the better of the two days, too. If you’re heading to the beaches, beware of a low pressure system off the coast that may bring a slightly higher than normal surf, although it doesn’t appear to be a huge concern at this point.

The forecast

Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Cloudy skies with highs in the lower 50s and slightly warmer on the Seacoast.

Friday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and a light breeze. During the evening, cloudy skies and highs in the upper 40s inland and lower 50s on the coast.

Saturday: Sunny with highs near 80 and a calm wind. Temps will be in the mid-to-lower 70s on the beach. During the evening, mostly clear with lows in the lower 50s.

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the low-to-mid-80s and mostly clear skies at night with temps in the upper 50s.

Monday is looking good, too.
