Food for Fines, 'Les Mis,' a Fundraiser for the Dogs and More

Food for Fines. There are just four days left to have your library fines waived in exchange for food donations made to the Amherst Town Library that will be given to SHARE to help fill its pantry shelves. Food for fines runs until Nov. 15. Stop by the library or call (603) 673-2288 for more information.
This one's for the dogs. Join Miss Apple Harvest's Outstanding Teen 2014 Brittney Wigdorski, of Merrimack, and her family and friends for a night of food and fun to raise monet for Granite State Dog Recovery on Friday, Nov. 15. Dinner, drinks (cash bar), vendors, music, fashion show, and special appearances by the Miss NH Family. Silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Did you hear the people sing? The Actorsingers have one weekend of performances in the books of "Les Miserables" but three more performances are coming up in case you missed the production during opening weekend. This is the first full-staged production of "Les Miserables" in New Hampshire and word on the street is the performance was spectacular. Upcoming shows are Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for students. They can be purchased online or at the box office at the Keefe Auditorium, 117 Elm St., Nashua, between 6-8 p.m. through Thursday and starting an hour before showtime during the weekend. Questions? Vote for Josh Logan. Another round of singing has finished and New Hampshire musician Josh Logan, a contestant on "The Voice" needs your votes to move on. You can vote until 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 by calling 1-877-553-3702 (and you can vote 10 times via phone); you can also vote via "The Voice" website. Weather watch. Today starts with a chance of snow showers, mainly before 7 a.m., which could slicken up the commute a bit. But as the morning moves on, cloudy skies are expected to give way to sunny ones. The expected high is only 34, however, so bundle up! Tonight is expected to be mostly clear with a low around 20.
