
The state unemployment rate was 5.2 percent in June, a decrease of .1 percentage point from May.
New Hampshire Employment Security, in releasing the latest report July 16, said the number of employed residents was up a notch to 705,220. The number of unemployed residents decreased by 1,400 from May to June to 38,290.
The June report shows 3,040 fewer unemployed Granite Staters than in June 2012. The June 2012 rate was 5.6 percent. These are the preliminary seasonally adjusted rates.
The U.S. unemployment rate last month was 7.6 percent.
