Pet Photos with Santa, Hang Wreath at a Vet's Grave and More

ICYMI. Feel better about those extra Thanksgiving calories by registering for a Turkey Trot. Sign up for a Thanksgiving Day event in several communities to set the stage for a big meal. Weather watch. We could be in for a little wild weather over the next two days. According to the National Weather Service, today's forecast calls for a slight chance of snow showers before 9 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers after 5 p.m. Otherwise, it will be cloudy, with a high near 38. Tonight, rain and snow, becoming all rain after 11 p.m. Low around 34. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. 

Help decorate a Veteran's Grave for the holidays. On Nov. 30, a group of volunteers will be out decorating veterans graves with about 480 wreaths from Wreath's for Veterans.  More volunteers are needed to make this happen. Want to help out? Meet at the Meadowview Cemetery on Foundry Street at 10 a.m. on Saturday.  Rain date will be Dec. 1, also at 10 a.m.If you have any questions e-mail Marie Grella @ mgf1225@aol.com or call 673-4905.
Pet photos with Santa. Join the Animal Hospital of Nashua in its Amherst lcoation at 105 Ponemah Road on Sunday, Dec. 1, from noon-4 p.m. for a photo of Santa with your pet. Photos are only $10 each and include your choice of holiday background and cardstock frame. Best of all, 100 percent of the money from each photo is donated directly to support pets in the care of the animal hospital.
