Prosthetics from a Printer Help NH Dog Get Out and About
Modern technology helps Derby remain active, alive.

A local dog that was expected to be euthanized at some point has a more uplifting life thanks to new prosthetic legs created with a 3-D printer, according to a story on Buzzfeed.
Derby was born with deformities on both of his front legs and his original owners were unable to care for him. He was placed in the Peace and Paws Dog Rescue shelter in Hillsborough.
At first, he was given wheels to stay active. But later, staffers began working on prosthetics using a multi-jet printer, which allowed for more flexible movement, and now Derby is as happy as can be.
