Ring In The Holiday Spirit With Souhegan Valley Chorus Get into the Holiday spirit with Souhegan Valley Chorus as they present their Holiday Concert “Ring The Christmas Bells”. The concert will be performed on Sunday December 13th at 6:00pm at Souhegan High School in Amherst. The chorus will be joined by special guest Merrimack Valley Ringers and will be performing such songs as The Christmas Song, Jingle Bell Hallelujah, Nuttin For Christmas and the popular song, That’s Christmas To Me by Pentatonix. Director Jennifer Kennedy Erdody said in a recent interview, "Our Christmas concert features something for everybody! We have the very talented Merrimack Valley Ringers joining us, and the choir will do a beautiful version of "Carol of the Bells" with them. We've got the novelty favorite Nuttin' for Christmas and a fun medley, Christmas In About Three Minutes plus a variety of other Christmas pieces." She continued by saying, "We've got some surprises up our sleeves as well and I know the audience will thoroughly enjoy this concert!" The Souhegan Valley Chorus guest, the Merrimack Valley Ringers, are a 501(c)(3) auditioned community handbell ensemble devoted to sharing the art of handbells and hand chimes with everyone. First organized in September 2002 with eight ringers, MVR is now in its fourteenth season with a roster of sixteen ringers from across eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. MVR’s members have developed a loyal following by delighting and captivating audiences of all ages with engaging and energetic performances and embodying the group’s motto, “Always Different, Always Fun!” Kimberly Vars Whitehead accompanies the Soughegan Valley Chorus, which is comprised 70+ people from Amherst, Milford and surrounding towns.
