24 Restaurants Don't Pass Underage Liquor Sting; 165 Pass Test
Restaurants in Manchester and Bedford were tested to see if they would serve someone 19 years old or younger, 88% passed the test

MANCHESTER, NH - The New Hampshire Liquor Commission Division of Enforcement and Licensing performs hundreds of compliance checks each year in collaboration with local law enforcement across the state to ensure the responsible and legal sale of alcohol.
Last week, the NH Division of Enforcement and Licensing and the Manchester Police Department performed 189 restaurant compliance checks in Manchester. Of those checks, 88% of licensees passed. Twenty-four businesses failed in that they sold to buyers who are 19 years old and younger.

The penalties for the establishments that did not pass were given verbal warnings according to a spokesperson for New Hampshire Liquor Enforcement. The goal is to make this educational and Verbal warnings were issued to licensees and a member of management. Those issued warnings are required to undergo training within 90 days.
Manchester Police Department may issue their own penalties to offending servers according to the Liquor Enforcement spokesperson.
