Scams, roadwork and a partial lunar eclipse. And don't forget the NASCAR race. Here are the top five things to know in Bedford this week.

BEDFORD, NH — NASCAR weekend is coming up, and traffic will be impacted. There's also news about Bedford property values and an upcoming partial lunar eclipse. Here are the top five things to know in Bedford this week.
- If you own property in Bedford, it's likely that its assessed value went up. Reassessment of all town properties is ongoing and overall values are up. But residents will still have a chance to comment before the final values are set ahead of the new tax rate.
- There will be an interesting partial lunar eclipse Tuesday. Accuweather is calling it a thunder moon. It's following the solar eclipse that occurred last week.
- If you get a call from a number that looks familiar, and a person on the other line asks you for personal information, be suspicious. Bedford police are warning about caller ID spoofing scams.
- With this weekend’s big NASCAR race in Loudon, some traffic issues are in store. And for NASCAR fans, some fun is in store at Anheuser-Busch in nearby Merrimack.
- Construction at Liberty Hill Road is ongoing. The road is currently closed to all traffic from County Road to Highland Farm Road. Residents will have a chance to comment on the project and ask questions during Thursday’s public informational meeting, taking place 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bedford Public Safety Complex, at 55 Constitution Dr. A brief overview of the project will be given every half-hour.
