5 Things To Know In Bedford This Week: Road Closure, Pool Opens
A road closure, last day of school and the opening of the Bedford pool are some of the top things to look forward to this week.

BEDFORD, NH — As summer approaches, the community is getting ready for the opening of the Bedford pool, the last day of school, and some road projects. Here are the top five things to know in Bedford for this upcoming week.
- Drivers be aware: Starting Tuesday, Liberty Hill Road will be closed to traffic between County Road and Highland Farm Road until July 12. The road will be closed to through-traffic 24 hours a day. Local access will be permitted only from the southern end of the road project. Drivers may use the detour route using Smith Road going to Back River Road, to County Road.
- Kids may be smiling extra this week, as the last day of school in the Bedford School District is scheduled for Monday, June 10. This is the last day of school for Bedford High School, Ross A. Lurgio Middle School, McKelvie Intermediate School, and the Memorial, Peter Woodbury and Riddle Brook elementary schools.
- Summer's almost here, and the weekly Bedford Farmers' Market kicks off on Tuesday this week from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the St. Elizabeth Seton Church parking lot. The market will run weekly through October.
- Speaking of summer, the Bedford Memorial Pool is scheduled to open this Sunday, on Father's Day. Season passes are available: $75 single, $125 family, and free for residents over 60 years old. The pool is located at 20 County Road. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
- New Hampshire Senate Minority Leader Chuck Morse will join the Bedford Republican Committee as a guest speaker this Tuesday, downstairs at the public library at 7 p.m.
