Aitken: Democrats Rely On Your Ignorance
When it comes to influencing local races, Democrats rely on your ignorance. That seems to be all they've got.

When it comes to influencing local races, Democrats rely on your ignorance . That seems to be all they've got.
Here are but a few examples.
- Democrats in the NH Senate and the NH House of Representatives have voted for MOST if not ALL proposed tax increases, INCLUDING an income tax. They are now trying to back-pedal and claim they don't 'favor' taxes and hope you didn't notice how they voted.

- Democrats sent deceptive mailers around suggesting that a NH Senate candidate voted at the NH Statehouse for this or that when she has never held that office before, hoping you would be ignorant of that fact.
- Democrats have made personal attacks on the Vice Chair of the Bedford Town Council who happens to be running for NH Senate, for missing ONE council meeting in the two years she has served. Do voters know that the Vice Chair sets the agenda and already knows all about the content being presented? Democrats are hoping you don't.

- Finally, Democrats, it is assumed, are planting signs that this particular NH Senate candidate 'stands with' a national figure, when she has never mentioned that person during her campaigns for a STATE OFFICE, nor did she allow those campaign workers to work with her campaign. Those who are serving at the national level have NO VOTE in the NH Senate and House. NONE. But Democrats figure you won't know the difference.
It is true that many people I talk to have no idea the difference between local, state, and national races, or how their state and local choices are what directly affect their local property values and taxes. Democrats have tried to rely on ignorance and personal attacks to win you over.
Don't be fooled. Don't vote for local candidates who consistently vote against your best interests, and will likely continue to do so.
