Bedford Fire Crews Respond To Cement Truck Fire On Highway
A cement truck traveling North on the Everett Turnpike caught fire near the exit for Interstate 293. No one was injured.
BEDFORD, NH — Fire crews, NH State Police and NH DOT responded to a reported vehicle fire on the Everett Turnpike at mile marker 19.2 Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.
Crews arrived to a cement truck fully engulfed in flames, and worked to extinguish the fire.
The driver safely pulled over when he noticed the fire while traveling on the highway just before the Interstate 293 exit in Bedford.

New Hampshire State Police closed one lane of travel with the assistance of New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
The highway had one lane closed while fire crews worked, and a towing company removed the truck.

The fire appears to have been caused by a mechanical issue. The truck has the company logo on it for Redimix.
