Bedford School Board Approves New Asst. Superintendent
The Bedford School Board this week approved two new administrators, Asst. Supt. Tom Laliberte and Special Services Dir. Kathleen McKechnie
BEDFORD, N.H. - The Bedford School Board this week approved two new administrators, Assistant Superintendent Tom Laliberte and Special Services Director Kathleen McKechnie. According to the Union Leader, Laliberte is replacing Mike Jette, who has been hired as the new superintendent for the Litchfield School District and McKechnie is replacing outgoing Special Services Director Christena Lassonde.
Laliberte is the current principal at Winnisquam Regional High School, and he previously served as principal in Epsom and in the Merrimack Valley.
“When you talk about desirable places and school districts in the state of New Hampshire, Bedford is always brought up,” he said. “It is well regarded in the state.”

Laliberte said he brings with him expertise and knowledge in curriculum, competency changes and leadership at all grade levels.
McKechnie has been the director of preschool services and special education administrator at the Timberlane Regional School District since 2003.
