Bedford VFW Announces Scholarships for Locals
The local VFW recently announced that it is accepting applications for scholarships for local post-secondary students this year.
BEDFORD, N.H. - The local VFW recently announced that it is accepting applications for scholarships for local post-secondary students this year.
The Richard K. Harvell Post 8401, of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, pick a child or grandchild of a current or past post member, a child or grandchild of a veteran, or a child or grandchild of a Bedford resident to receive the award.
These scholarships are intended to help defray the cost of books and incidental expenses.

Applications are available at the Bedford Public Library’s information desk. They can also be requested via the mail: Richard K. Harvell Post 8401, P.O. Box 10144, Bedford, NH 03110. Applications must be postmarked no later than midnight on Friday, June 29, to be considered.
Scholarship winners will be notified in the mail and be invited along with their families to the post’s scholarship award ceremony on Monday, July 9, at 7 p.m. at the Bedford Old Town Hall, 70 Bedford Center Road.
