Bedford's 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

BEDFORD, NH — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Bedford so you can start planning now.

In nearby Manchester, the annual fireworks celebration is being planned the day before Independence Day, on the evening of July 3.

  • What: Merrimack Fourth of July Parade
  • Where: Merrimack Commons to Merrimack High School
  • When: July 4, starting at 1 p.m.

This 1.5-mile-long parade is one of the biggest in the state. It will feature marching bands, floats by local organizations and more. The parade will start at Tractor Supply in the Merrimack Commons and then proceed south on Daniel Webster Highway to the center of town, turning right onto Baboosic Lake Road and traveling past Mastricola Elementary School, taking a left onto O'Gara Drive and ending at Merrimack High School.

A fantastic fireworks display expected this year by Atlas PyroVision Productions, which is being contracted to put on this year's fireworks. Community members are encouraged to grab a blanket and find a nice spot to view the fireworks, which will be shot from behind the high school.

The nearby New Boston is hosting its 89th annual Fourth of July celebrations. A parade will kick off at the New Boston Center at 10 a.m. Then, music and activities will take place at the Youth Center starting at 11:30 a.m. A grand fireworks display is scheduled to take place after dark, at approximately 9 p.m., weather permitting. No rain date.

The Amherst celebrations will start the day before Independence Day, with various performances and activities, and fireworks at dusk.

The Amherst Fourth of July Parade will be followed by a puppy parade, an antique car show Citizen of the Year Awards, and more.
