Body Found In Manchester Near Railroad Tracks
Police, fire, and EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive man on South Commercial Street who was later said to be dead.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police, fire, and AMR Ambulance responded Sunday to an area off South Commercial Street near the railroad tracks.
Fire and AMR were advised of a person found that was unresponsive, and according to the dispatch log, not breathing at all.
The person was found deceased at about 1:35 p.m. and not transported to the hospital. Manchester police took control. Detectives could be seen taking photographs and gathering evidence. The office of the New Hampshire State Medical Examiner’s office was also notified.

A few hours after the original call, a hearse from a local funeral home came on the scene and removed the person.
Manchester Police Spokesperson Heather Hamel verified that a deceased person was found off South Commercial Street. The only information she could confirm the person was a man and he appears to be 50 to 60 years old. Hamel said Manchester Police do not believe the death is suspicious.

The body of the man will be taken to Concord to the Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed. The identity of the man has not been released at this time.
The area where the body was found was a short distance from the homeless encampment that was recently removed behind Firestone. It is less than a mile from where a body was found last weekend on North Commercial Street.
This is one of several deceased people found in Manchester this year. None of the cases have been classified as suspicious.
