Dumpster Truck And SUV Crash And Close Hooksett Roads

Hooksett fire and police worked to free occupants from a two-vehicle crash with significant damage. Detours remain in place on Main Street.

HOOKSETT, NH — Hooksett firefighters, police, and the Tri-Town Ambulance responded to the intersection of Hooksett Road and Main Street on Thursday for a two-vehicle crash, with reported entrapment.

The first units arrived around 8:30 a.m. and reported a large dumpster truck and a small SUV had crashed and the driver of the SUV was trapped inside.

Police closed the roadways in all directions as firefighters worked to remove the occupant of the vehicle. At least one person was taken to Elliot Hospital with unknown injuries at this time.

Hooksett police have closed Main Street at Hooksett Road to all traffic. Traffic on Hooksett Road has been reduced to one lane of travel, and there are significant delays.

Hooksett police are being assisted by New Hampshire State Police Troop G that handles investigations with commercial vehicles.

Initial information at the scene indicated the truck was traveling South on Hooksett Road and the SUV was traveling north while turning onto Main Street.

The accident remains under investigation, and no official information has been released at this time.
