Eversource Project May Cause Minor Traffic Delays In Bedford
Possible minor traffic delays should be expected for the next few weeks on two Bedford Streets, where Eversource is doing construction.
BEDFORD, NH — Minor traffic delays are possible in the next several weeks in the area of Rutledge Road and Benning Way in Bedford, as Eversource proceeds with a construction project. According to town officials, the utility company will be replacing wood transmission structures with weathered steel structures in that area. The project began this week and is scheduled for completion this fall.
Construction vehicles will be on site at Rutledge Road and Benning Way during the project. Drivers are asked to use caution and expect possible minor delays. Construction will take place Monday through Friday, and Saturday if needed.
Eversource will make any effort possible to minimize the impact to those who live in the area of the project, town officials said. The employees of the company will carry identification. During the project, Eversource representatives may notify the area residents about what to expect as construction moves forward and leave information on door hangers or knock on residents' doors to talk about the construction project, according to town officials.
