Fire Crews On Scene at Duplex Fire in Manchester

Manchester Fire crews are still on scene at a duplex fire on the Manchester/Hookset line.

MANCHESTER, NH - Manchester Fire crews are still on scene at a duplex fire on the Manchester/Hookset line.

According to MFD District Chief Michaels, multiple adults, children and animals were still inside the building at 1360 Old Mammoth Road in Manchester when crews arrived.

Chief Michaels said Manchester Fire Dept. Deputy Fire Marshal and Fire Inspector John Reese were on 28 bypass when they saw smoke coming up and responded to the area. When they arrived, they entered the building and called for a full fire response from dispatch.

The pair evacuated several adults and dogs safely while the house was engulfed in flame and smoke. Several cats remain missing.

Chief Michaels said it appears to have started on the deck and was careless disposal of smoking materials.
