Forbes: Here’s The Richest Resident In New Hampshire

Forbes analyzed the fortunes of the country’s richest people to identify each state’s wealthiest person. This is the magazine’s fifth edition of the list.

New Hampshire's richest resident is Andrea Reimann-Ciardelli of Hanover, who has a net worth of $720 million, according to Forbes. The 62-year-old German heiress, who is now a U.S. citizen, is a descendant of German chemist Ludwig Reimann and is a heir to the Reimann family fortune.

In 2003 Reimann-Ciardelli had sold her stake in the family's Luxembourg-based investment firm to other family members. According to Forbes, the conglomerate owns stakes in international brands that include hygiene and home products giant Reckitt Benckiser and the beauty company Coty.

The net worth of the individuals on the list of the country's richest people varies. For example, Washington is home to the world’s two richest and most recognizable billionaires; Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, but in certain states, the richest people only had a nine-figure net worth, Forbes writes.

Collectively, the wealthy on the Forbes list had a net worth of $875 billion, which the magazine says set a new record.
