Goffstown Police Search For Suspect Who Fled From A Traffic Stop

A chase on Mast Road ended with a crash, and the suspect fled from police. Drones, K9s, and MPD SWAT could not locate the suspect.

GOFFSTOWN, NH - Goffstown Police attempted to stop a vehicle pulling a trailer on Mast Road Saturday at about 9:20 p.m. The vehicle was operating without headlights in the area of the Shell station on Mast Road.

The officer activated his lights and siren and the vehicle failed to pull over and continued to increase speed. The officer reported the vehicle was traveling in the wrong lane several times. The officer discontinued pursuit due to the speed, but in a short distance, the officer discovered had crashed near Mast Road and Henry Bridge Road.

The operator of the vehicle opened the door and ran from the vehicle, and according to radio broadcasts allegedly pointed a gun at the officer arriving at the scene.

Several officers responded to the scene including Dunbarton, New Boston, Manchester Police, and New Hampshire State Police. Officers utilized k9’s, drones, and MPD SWAT Bearcat while searching for the suspect.

A section of Mast Road was closed to traffic while officers searched the area.

Goffstown Police Chief Eric Sereno said the suspect was not able to be located. Police did recover a backpack with a large amount of suspected narcotics, and ammunition.

The vehicle and a U-Haul trailer carrying motorcycles were towed from the scene.
