Incendiary Device Found On Side Of Road In Goffstown

Police have neutralized an incendiary device found on the side of the road in Goffstown.

GOFFSTOWN, NH — Police on Thursday discovered a suspicious package on the side of the road in Goffstown. The item turned out to be an incendiary device, which was neutralized after the State Police Explosive Disposal Unit was called. A Goffstown police officer discovered the package on the side of Route 114 near Mast Road, police say.

According to police, the package was two cylindrical items wrapped together in black electrical tape. It was found around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The State Police Explosive Disposal Unit confirmed it was an incendiary device, which was later neutralized, police say.

Police are still investigating where the package came from. Anyone with information about the origin of the item is asked to call the Goffstown Police Department at 603-497-4858.
