Manchester Man Arrested in Connection With Bank Robbery

A Manchester man was arrested today in connection with a May 31 robbery of a Citizen's Bank.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - A Manchester man was arrested today in connection with a May 31 robbery of a Citizen's Bank.

According to police, officers were looking for Michael Macdonald, 28 of Manchester, NH in the area of his home on Manchester Street around 2 a.m. on Monday.

Police said officers observed a motor vehicle pull away from the rear of the address and pulled the car over in the area of Hanover and Union Street. Police spoke to two men, including Macdonald and passenger, Richard Case, 50 of Manchester, NH.

Police said Macdonald originally used a false name, but the officers quickly confirmed his true identity and asked him to exit the vehicle to place him into custody.

Case also exited the vehicle and was ultimately placed into custody and charged with possession of controlled drug after the officer located small amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine inside of his backpack.

Macdonald was charged with original arrest warrant (robbery), as well as, disobeying a police officer and possession of controlled drug.

Macdonald and Case are scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on June 4.
