Manchester Police Charge Man In Elm Street Shooting Investigation
Zabayullah Qahir, 29 is accused of shooting a man outside Chicken and Biscuits on Elm Street. The victim has life-threatening injuries.
MANCHESTER, NH - Manchester Police have arrested and charged Zabayullah Qahir, 29 in connection with a shooting that took place outside USA Chicken and Biscuit.
Monday at about 6:15 p.m., Manchester Police responded to a shooting in the area of 990 Elm St.
When they arrived they located a man lying on the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Through their investigation, they learned that the victim and Qahir knew each other and had gotten into an argument in front of the restaurant.

The investigation revealed that Qahir went into USA Chicken and Biscuit, where he works, and got a gun. He then shot the victim multiple times.
The victim a 48-year-old man was taken to Elliot Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Qahir was charged with First Degree Assault.
