Manchester's 5K Raises $230,000 For Easterseals N.H.

MANCHESTER, NH — With thousands of enthusiastic participants flooding the Veterans Park in Manchester earlier this month, the 20th annual Eversource Walk & 5K has raised $230,000 for the Easterseals New Hampshire. The funds will be used to support those with disabilities and special needs who receive services from the Easterseals. About 2,500 runners, walkers, vendors and volunteers participated in the June 6 event.

According to the Easterseals, the Walk & 5K race had a carnival-infused atmosphere with a scenic route, sponsor booths with games and activities, music, and interactive booths in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Wellness Alley, including kids' attractions and food vendors.

"We are grateful to all of our employees and neighbors who joined us to support Easterseals NH's tremendous commitment to providing thousands of our neighbors with the services they need to thrive," said Eversource NH President Bill Quinlan. "We believe that healthy communities are powered by the people who work tirelessly every day to make life better for those in need. The money raised supports the Easterseals' 12 core programs that serve nearly 28,000 people of all ages with disabilities and special needs throughout the Granite State, according to the Easterseals.
