Police said the clerk said "No" partly because she thought he was joking and because additional customers walked into the store at the time of the attempted robbery.

Police finally caught up to the man, suspected to be Matthew Clough, 23, of Merrimack, NH on May 24 and arrested him. He was scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on May 25.
