Mr. Mac's Helps Feed Kids At Manchester Salvation Army Kids Café
As part of its Mac Gives Back initiative, a group from Mr. Mac's Macaroni and Cheese in Manchester recently helped feed local kids.
MANCHESTER, NH — As part of its initiative to help feed local kids, Mr. Mac's Macaroni and Cheese in Manchester recently served fresh meals at the Salvation Army Kids' Café in Queen City. On Wednesday, dozens of children ate hot and fresh meals, salads and cookies served by a team of Mr. Mac's. The Mac Gives Back initiative continues through the end of July — during that time period, for every order of its Take & Bake macaroni and cheese order, Mr. Mac is donating $1 to the Kids Café.
The Mac Gives Back initiative began on May 1, after Mr. Mac's management team decided to do something about area children going hungry. After touring the Salvation Army facility on Cedar Street, they were impressed and decided to partner with the organization.
"We are so grateful to Mr. Mac's," said Michael Harper, captain from the Manchester Salvation Army, in a statement. "This program will no doubt make a huge difference to the Kids Café program. My wife and I have been fans of Mr. Mac's for years, and now we are also fans of their generous hearts!"
