BEDFORD, NH — Filipe Maia grew up in Brazil studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Capoeria. Now the founder of Perfect Ten Training is bringing that Jiu-Jitsu training and fitness-building techniques to Bedford at a new gym at 10 Commerce Park.

Maia is holding an open house on Nov. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. that will include an official ribbon cutting and tours of the facility with Bedford residents and the general public invited. Maia, who said he is passionate about building community in the new facility, will offer 24-hour access to police, fire and medical first responders, as well as a specialized experience to athletes all of all fitness levels.

Maia said Perfect Ten Training includes high-quality equipment and functional space, combined with personalized training and dynamic group fitness classes. Experienced, certified coaches will offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for children and adults following the Carlos Machado Association.

Maia said the goal of Perfect Ten Training will enhance members' strength and overall health with access to the TrueCoach mobile application, which tracks customized fitness plans and progress.
