N.H. Construction Worker Killed In Accident At Massachusetts Site

Another worker was seriously injured, and the cause of the accident is currently unknown.

A construction worker died in an accident while working on a site in Somerville, Mass., on Thursday. Another was seriously injured.

WMUR Channel 9 reports the individual was from New Hampshire.

A statement from Suffolk Construction, as tweeted by WBZ Channel 5, says the following.

“During the assembly of external hoists on the building, a hoist cab unexpectedly pulled away and two workers were injured, one fatally.”

“It is our understanding that all safety protocol was followed.”

The incident remains under investigation.
